2023 Trip #1 - Level 2 (Student VBS Leaders)
Domestic Trip - Dayton, Ohio
Mission Organization: LeaderTreks Youth Ministry
Dates: 7 days: Saturday, July 23 – Friday, July 29
Trip Description: Dayton, Ohio might seem to be an unlikely place to visit for a missions experience, until you consider the influx of international refugees in the last 15 years. Every year refugees come to Dayton to escape political and religious persecution, wars, and extreme poverty. There is great need and many organizations and churches have started to help through various community service projects. Your team will reach out to families from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East with the love of God.
2023 Trip #2 - Level 3 (Student trip Leaders)
Domestic Trip - Pawley's Island, South Carolina
Mission Organization: LeaderTreks Youth Ministry
Dates: 7 days: Saturday, July 16 – Friday, July 22
Trip Description: This island off the coast of South Carolina is something special. LeaderTreks base camp is five minutes from the water’s edge, yet in the middle of this vacation paradise is a broken community. For many years, racial division has been ignored as the local economy has grown and expanded. Your team will serve families caught in the cycle of generational poverty through home repair projects. At the same time, your team will partner with local ministries to bring the hope of the gospel to this special place through relational outreach opportunities.
2023 Trip #3 - Level 3 (Student Trip Leaders)
Domestic Trip - Hazard, Kentucky
Mission Organization: LeaderTreks Youth Ministry
Dates: 7 days: Saturday, July 9 – Saturday, July 15
Trip Description: The local churches in Hazard care for some of the poorest people in America. Hazard was hit hard by storms over the past year - from yard clean-up to building fences and everything in-between, your students will have the opportunity to serve people in their most-basic need—their homes.
