Life Groups

"Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near."  (Hebrews 10:25 NLT)

Join a LifeGroup       Lead a LIfeGroup

God created us to live in community and to do life together. That's how we're wired! We learn and grow from each other, bear one another's burdens, and offer encouragement along the way. We each come to the table with a wide variety of gifts and abilities, given to us in order to help us serve and love others well. God must revel in the beauty of seeing us come together!  In a healthy, vibrant community, such as this, people can share honestly, pose challenging questions, confess struggles and doubts, and trust that they will always be met with love and support.
You can start a new group with your family, church friends, neighbors, co-workers etc. – or maybe someone who doesn't attend church. We are happy to support you and provide training as necessary if you'd like to kick-off a new group. Just click the “Lead a LifeGroup” button above and fill in the requested information. Someone from our Life Group team will contact you shortly.
Or, if starting a group doesn't sound like your cup of tea, you can join one of our groups below and get to know other folks from your area. If you don't see a group that fits you, click here to let us know what kind of group you need.

Pastor Doug Brauner with Dwayne & Pat Brech
– Led by Pastor Doug Brauner and hosted by Dwayne and Pat Brech. Using Pastor Doug's sabbatical studies, this small group study will journey with Jesus from his baptism to the empty tomb, examining Mark's unique perspective of Jesus' ministry. Mark seems to ask his listeners/readers, "Will you believe that Jesus is the Son of God?"

Ron & Karen Moody
 - Our life group currently has seven families and a diverse demographic.  We range from 40-somethings with children to 50+ empty nesters.  We enjoy the age diversity and encourage children (ages 6-10) to come and play together while the adults fellowship.  We meet twice a month on Saturday night starting at 6pm.  Our meetings consist of snacks and social time followed by a devotion or bible study, sharing, and prayer.  We also try to have 2-3 fun events and 1-2 service activities during the year.  We rotate our meeting locations between 3 host homes located in Northgate, East Monument, and Sanctuary Point. We have room for 1-2 more families.

Rick & Monica Ramey
– The Rameys have called Colorado home for over 40 years. Their experience in IT and public communications, combined with their active involvement in local volunteering and family life, brings a wealth of perspectives to their group. Their interests in travel, golf, fishing, and volunteer work at Elite Equine CO reflect their active lifestyle and commitment to community engagement. Our life group aims to create meaningful connections through our shared faith, life experiences, and common interests, primarily for those in or approaching retirement.  We host a Bible study with faith-centered fellowship to help guide us in our spiritual growth. We have regular meetings and support and encourage one another in our faith and life journeys. We have flexible activities that can include local outings, service projects, and social gatherings. If you are a resident of the Northern Colorado Springs, Monument or Palmer Lake area, you are retired or approaching retirement, are a couple or individual who values building lasting friendships, are interested in combining faith with active community involvement and enjoy activities like travel, outdoor recreation, and volunteering, then this is the group for you!

Scott and Svea Suckow
– We landed in Monument/Colorado Springs 6 years ago following Scotts  Air Force Retirement.  We are "Empty Nesters" and are hoping to build a life group among members in our church family and community who like to do things outdoors; attend music events and enjoy socializing.

Rich and Julie Weitzel
- The Weitzels have lived in the area for almost 5 years and have a home in the Sanctuary Pointe neighborhood.  Rich recently retired after 27 years of service in the United States Navy, and currently works in the aerospace industry.  Rich and Julie have three daughters; Grace is studying International Affairs at CU Boulder, Charlotte is a senior at Monument Academy High School, and Madeline is a freshman at Lewis Palmer High School.  Our Life Group seeks to build community in the Monument area with families that are interested in fellowship, food and drink.  No question, it can be hard to step out and join a new group! But we’re hoping to make it as easy as possible for you. Ultimately, our hope is to get everyone plugged into a LifeGroup, because we all need each other.
